The Lakepoint Industrial Center’s property had significant vegetation concerns that required immediate attention:
Kudzu Overgrowth: Invasive kudzu and vines encroached on parcel perimeter and retaining walls, limiting accessibility and presenting a risk to property infrastructure.
Difficult Terrain: Sections of the perimeter were impacted by dense brush and challenging ground conditions, requiring precise herbicide applications.
Proactive Maintenance Needs: The site needed a sustainable solution to prevent regrowth and reduce manual labor costs for contracted maintenance teams.
Initial Application: Focused herbicide treatments to suppress existing kudzu and invasive brush along the property’s perimeter and retaining walls.
Follow-Up Treatments: Post-emergent and pre-emergent herbicide applications to prevent regrowth and maintain vegetation-free zones over multiple treatment cycles.
Precision Application Methods: Using hand sprayers, skid equipment, and GPS-tracked spraying, technicians treated specific problem areas with high accuracy to ensure effective control.
VegClear initiated a two-phase treatment process to address the property’s vegetation concerns:
Initial Spring Treatment: Herbicides were manually applied to overgrown sections of brush on the property during spring to control dense kudzu and woody growth. Tank mixes included combinations of glufosinate, triclopyr, imazapyr, diquat, and surfactants. Applications targeted invasive species in accordance with EPA-approved herbicide label guidelines and prescribed annual maximum volumes per acre.
Summer Follow-Up Treatment: In August, a second round of applications targeted remaining vegetation and ensured long-term suppression. Treated areas were monitored for effectiveness, with adjustments made for persistent or hard-to-kill growth.
To ensure comprehensive coverage, VegClear used its proprietary GPS tracking system to document treatment zones and prevent over-application on walking paths, access trails, and frequently used property sections. Interim reports and photographic documentation were provided to the client, demonstrating visible progress and treatment success.
Landscape Bed Weed Control: Tackling weed growth in landscaped beds to improve aesthetics around the industrial park.
Invasive Vine Growth Treatment: Mitigating overgrown brush & kudzu vines along perimeter and fence line was key.
No Charge Touch Up Applications: Between scheduled visits, delivering continuous enhancement for tenants.
VegClear’s partnership with Lakepoint Industrial Investments highlights the value of professional vegetation management in industrial settings. By addressing kudzu and invasive vegetation with targeted herbicide treatments, VegClear restored the property’s functionality and aesthetics while ensuring long-term control.
